A new pilot program beginning
August 1, 2020!
LIFE Village's newest initiative, LIFE House I, will offer affordable housing in the town of Boone to two adults with intellectual disabilities who are graduates of SDAP, Scholars with Diverse Abilities Program, at Appalachian State. LIFE House offers a person-centered approach to independent living with paid and natural supports in place to encourage success. The goal for the residents is to learn the life skills needed to live a more independent life such as cooking, managing finances, navigating the public transit system and being an active member of the community.

PROSPECTIVE LIFE HOUSE II/LIFE VILLAGE RESIDENT SURVEY
LIFE Village Inc. is developing an affordable, inclusive, and supportive residential community for adults with autism and related Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. LIFE House II will continue to offer LIFE on a smaller scale. This model will provide housing for two adults with diverse abilities and, depending on need, one live-in support staff (Residential Support Staff or RSS). Please fill out this survey, with assistance from your parent(s) or guardian if needed, so that we can start the process of identifying interested/perspective residents for our second house. **Please note: this survey does not guarantee a rental agreement and/or support services from LIFE Village Inc. nor should it be considered a waiting list. The intention of this survey is to help LIFE Village and LIFE House to develop the most appropriate programming and services, and to identify those individuals who are interested in this supported living model.
